Why this sample is in the benchmark

Concave regions are where 3DGS density collapses and where TSDF fusion fills holes. The pinched neck also creates self-occlusion and grazing angles, which is where normal maps and depth borders go wrong.

Acquisition plan

kind local, automatic True, estimated size 3.24 MiB

  1. Build geometry 'vase' with {'sections': 64}
  2. Render 12 views (orbit @ 128px, fov 45 deg)
  3. Shade under lighting: studio, cool_dusk, top_down
  4. Write GT mesh, surface points, depth, normals, poses

Fully offline. Ground truth is exact (no SfM, no scan noise).
